This blog was created to share our knowledge and experiences in several areas of computational mathematics and engineering. From time to time we will publish posts devoted to the topics listed below.
- Large sparse matrices. They arise in many areas of computational mathematics such as the Finite Element Method, Image Processing, Optimization. We will share our experiences in solving systems of linear algebraic equations with large sparse matrices, using codes developed by us. We will post results of numerical experiments; comparison results between popular known codes and our own ones.
- Finite Element Analysis. We have been working in that area for many years, and over time we accumulated significant experience in code development for FEA of typical models arising in structural engineering and related ares.
- Finite Element Mesh Generation. Quality numerical results can only be obtained by the FEA if the corresponding meshes don’t contain ill-conditioned elements. Again, we have had broad experiences in code development for quadrilateral finite element meshes on planar and curved surfaces.
